The Birth of Curiosity
2015 16"x20", acrylic paint Two figures reaching out in curiosity despite opposing forces; Gravitating towards finding answers about the unknown. An abstract painting that emerged as I painted without plan. The dichotomy between the forces gives movement and tension to the piece. It's spiritual and also moving in a way. They are reaching out to each other to find a commonality...an answer to a question or a solution to a problem. |
Mother Nature
2014
9"x12", Pencil
After drawing out Mother Nature then finishing her with colored pencils, I decided that I personally liked the effect of a plain pencil drawing. I changed a couple of elements in her hair from the colored pencil rendition. Which do you like best?
The drawing is done with pencils on acid free, 9"x12" heavyweight watercolor textured surface paper.
